Interactive Qigong

Starting 2 June 2020

A 30-minute interactive class, each focussing on a different aspect of Qigong to relax the body and mind. Using Ba Duan Jin, 5 Element Qigong, Seated Qigong, 5 Animal Frolics and Qigong with Music. Each designed with a range of exercises to improve mobility, breathing and focus.  Open to beginners and those with more experience.

5 Qigong ‘Flavours’

Each Qigong session is founded on the same principle: regulating the body, the breath and the mind – 3 aspects of one being. Each session also has its own focus.

5 Animal Frolics

Wu Qin Xi

A series of Qigong exercises based on the characteristics of the Tiger, Deer, Monkey, Crane and Bear. Which do you most identify with?

5 Elements Qigong

Wu Xing

5 Element theory is central to Chinese philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine. It governs our organs, our emotions and many other qualities. Enlightened by Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth we aim for balance and harmony.

Seated Qigong

Shi Er Duan Jin

Using a dedicated set of Qigong moves designed to work with a seated position to improve neck, shoulder and spine mobility and calm the mind. It’s accessible to those with mobility restrictions but valuable for all.

Wednesdays, 9:30 am

Ba Duan Jin

8 Silk Brocades 

Probably the best known of all Qigong sets and the most ancient. Perfect combination of movements with a meditative focus.

Tuesdays, 9:30 am

Qigong with Music

Using sequences of Qigong moves flowing together with music to improve the flow of Qi through the body and mind.

Fridays, 9:30 am
